Welcome and Thanks for stopping by, I am Mom… I mean Mirian
I decided to start writing when I found out that at 12 weeks pregnant I was going to be on bedrest till the end of my pregnancy. So rather than be bored OUT OF MY MIND, I decided to reach out to mothers and others that could relate and help me keep my sanity. It was a long and exhausting adventures, filled of many false alarms, but after everything I have a VERY HEALTHY, Rambunctious 13 Month old… named Kingston Law Tyson Moultrie (YES 4 Names, blame his Dad) Lol. For my New Years Resolution, I decided to restart writing and actually put my stuff out there for the WORLD to see. This time it wouldn’t just be about treacherous bedrest boredom, but my new MOM LIFE, helpful tips I find along the way, with a hint of STYLE. You see once you have been on bedrest for the amount of time I was in, not going out, not dressing up, you get this new found desire to style up. And listen moms it does not take that much, I am here to let you into my little secret. Which is NOT to buy everything insight more so key pieces, but I will cover that as we get to know each other better.
Aside from being a Mother I am also an 8th grade English and Social Studies teacher (TeachForAmerica), a proud member of the United States Air Force (Reserve), Boston University Grad School Student, and in between all that writing for you all at least once a week. If you ask anyone of my friends, I have quite the job history. Lets just say, I really was in search for the perfect job. In that search attained a BA in Criminal Justice and minor in Sociology at UMASS Boston and was a Transportation Security Administration Officer at Boston Logan Airport, Team Leader at Jumpstart with Americorp, Police Officer at Veteran Affairs in West Haven CT, and lastly Case Manager with the Juvenile Review Board in New Haven CT. I think I ‘ve finally settled down Lol.
Hopefully with my experiences, and going through my day to day I will entertain and help at least one of you navigate “Modern Day Motherhood.”
Thanks in advance, and for reading all this $hit. (I know it was long)
